Hi, I'm Julie...
I believe the best moments in life happen around a table—where stories are shared, friendships are formed, and laughter comes easily.

After years of building communities through business, travel, events, and women's leadership organizations, I discovered that Mahjong brings together everything I love: connection, conversation, lifelong learning, and a little friendly competition.

As the founder of Traveling Tiles, I help women learn American Mahjong in a welcoming, approachable environment. Whether you're sitting down at your very first lesson or joining a social game night, my goal is simple: to make Mahjong fun, accessible, and something you genuinely look forward to each week.

When I'm not teaching Mahjong, you'll find me spending time with family, planning travel adventures, enjoying a good book with a cup of coffee (or wine), exploring bourbon country, spending time on the water in Southwest Florida, or gathering friends around a table for meaningful conversation.
I created Traveling Tiles because I believe Mahjong is about so much more than the tiles. It's about building community, keeping our minds sharp, creating new friendships, and making time for joy.
